Alan Beckerman, an accomplished Chiropractor, earned
his Bachelors of Arts (BA) in Psychology in 1976 from the State
University of New York at Albany. Following graduation, applying
his knowledge of the psychology of personal achievement, he
accepted a marketing position with a large international corporation
involving sales and the teaching of product knowledge. While
this was an exciting career path, Dr. Beckerman’s interest
in the functioning of the human body and mind led him to the
field of Chiropractic. Following this mission, Dr. Beckerman
left the world of international business and completed an in-depth
study of the biomechanics of the human frame and the healing
process.
Dr. Beckerman graduated Cum Laud
from Life Chiropractic College in 1982 and went on to establish
a very successful practice in Santa Barbara, California –
treating families, world class athletes, and patients with
severe injuries. His dramatic clinical successes have resulted
in his patients commenting that “Dr. Beckerman was born
to do this work!” Indeed the bulk of his early work
centered on restoring health to patients who had failed to
improve with other Chiropractors and Medical Doctors. For
15 years, Dr. Beckerman was a highly sought after Chiropractor
in Santa Barbara, known for his knowledge, insights into patients’
individual healing processes, and ability to achieve results.
Dr. Beckerman returned to the
Atlanta area in 1997 and shared his effective healing techniques
while teaching at his alma mater for a brief period. He re-opened
a practice in Woodstock, Georgia in 1998 and resumed sharing
his unique healing talents within our community. Dr. Beckerman
combines an in-depth knowledge of the musculoskeletal system
with energetic and nutritional healing techniques to facilitate,
initially, relief from pain and, ultimately, a genuine and
lasting higher level of health and overall well being.
A
resident of Towne Lake, Dr. Beckerman is married and has two
teen-age children. An avid athlete, Alan stays fit by working
out at Golds gym, running various trails in the area, hiking
at Red Top Mountain with his family, and playing Golf.
